My Story
Jean-François Kacou is a dedicated leader widely recognized for his expertise in governance, strategic development, and public policy. With over 15 years of experience as a consultant, trainer, and executive, he has held key positions that have shaped both his professional journey and the communities he has served.
As former Director General of the City of Percé, Jean-François led groundbreaking projects in sustainability, economic development, and tourism, earning prestigious distinctions such as the Gaspésie Environmental Excellence Award. In Montreal, he brought international attention to the city as President of the Salon du Chocolat, a flagship event that boosted the metropolis’ cultural profile.
Elected to the Executive Committee of the Canadian Commission for UNESCO, he champions education, culture, and global dialogue. He also serves on the Advisory Committee of the Canadian Coalition of Inclusive Municipalities and trains leaders and institutions in complexity management and governance.
His leadership and contributions were formally recognized in the Senate of Canada during Black History Month, a testament to his lasting impact.
An engaged author and thought leader, Jean-François co-authored L’État du Québec 2022, contributing a powerful chapter on employment and collaboration, and wrote Le Parcours, published by Éditions Performance.
